CHALLENGING OUR YOUTH - Three Challenges

Our youth leaderpreneur programme has been designed to challenge our youth to change and then become committed to a definite path designed to help them achieve their dreams while growing their desire and abilities to become the future leaders in business and their community.

Three ‘LeaderPreneur’ Challenges to the Youth at a
local high school

1. Challenged to partner with Business and the Public to achieve the Legacy Vision of a SHEP SA - Safe, High Employment & Prosperous South Africa, their emphatic answer was a JUBILANT... YES!

2. Challenged to partner with Business to release their full potential to achieve their dreams including that of becoming their own job creators, they responded with a very LOUD... YES!

Three Scenarios: Choosing the Right Track and making Right Choices for their lives will greatly assist our youth to resist negative peer pressure as well as staying focused on achieving their best and ultimately their dreams!

3. Challenged as to which track they would choose for their lives ie:

Track A: Attractive but Aimless;
Track B: Bountiful but Barren or
Track C: Challenging but Correct, without hesitation they chose... Track ‘C'

ENDORSEMENT

As a result of our three year partnership with the learners at the Sinenjongo High School, Joe Slovo Park, Milnerton, we received the following feedback:The level of self-esteem of the learners increased to the point where the matric pass rate went up from 27% to over 90% in the first three years. The learners are much more determined to do well in their studies. A number of learners on drugs joined the programme. Furthermore, some of the learners started little businesses which have made a contribution to the income of their families. Mrs. Napote, School Principal. In all of the above, we believe the BBN Programme made a significant contribution.
